Excitement is building as Pleasant Hill UMC prepares to launch Messy Church in January! Plans are already taking shape, and we are eager to share more about this creative and Christ-centered way of doing church.
For those new to the idea, Messy Church is a once-a-month gathering for all ages that explores faith through hands-on activities, celebration, and a shared meal. It’s guided by five core values: Christ-centered, hospitality, creativity, celebration, and being all-age.
The next big milestone is an orientation for those interested in serving on the launch team. This session will offer a deeper look into the goals and structure of Messy Church, and will even allow participants to experience a typical Messy Church event firsthand!
If you’re curious, excited, or ready to jump in contact Pastor Pete, Lizz Newing, Cheryl Blevins, or Adam Forbis. Stay tuned for the orientation date and details. There’s a place for you in the Messy Church movement at Pleasant Hill UMC!
