As we prepare for Commitment Sunday during worship on November 23, I invite you to make a faith-filled commitment for 2026 to Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. Your pledge is more than a financial decision — it is a statement of hope, a demonstration of faith, and a trust in God who never gives up on us. Each offering and act of generosity proclaims that you believe in the mission of Pleasant Hill — to Reach, Grow, and Serve — and in the future God continues to shape through us.
This past year has demonstrated how deeply God’s grace sustains us through both challenges and blessings. We have celebrated new ministry opportunities even as we’ve adapted to ongoing transitions within our church family. Our Finance Committee, staff team, and leaders have worked hard to manage resources wisely and faithfully. However, we continue to face significant needs as we seek to strengthen outreach and maintain essential ministries.

I ask you to take time over the next few weeks to pray, reflect, and listen for God’s guidance on how you might give. Consider the blessings you have received, the ways our church has supported your faith, and the impact your gift can have. Remember that this is an estimate of your giving — one that can be changed at any time by contacting Mary Lee in the church office.
Please bring your Commitment Card to worship on November 23, or return it as soon as possible if you cannot attend. Your pledge will help our Finance Committee plan responsibly for 2026, ensuring that our ministries stay strong and that Pleasant Hill continues to be a beacon of faith and service in the Indian Land community.
As you prayerfully plan your giving, please remember our Family Life Center mortgage, which requires an additional $10,800 each month. Your continued support in this area helps us to maintain a vital space where fellowship, worship, and community engagement happen every week.
Giving can be made in several ways:
Your generosity truly impacts the lives of children, youth, and adults. Together, we declare our trust in the faithful God and work to build a legacy of love, service, and hope for future generations.
With gratitude and confidence in God’s promise,
Rev. Pete Berntson Pastor, Pleasant Hill UMC
