Over the past several weeks, Pleasant Hill UMC has been participating in Messy Church training on Tuesday evenings via Zoom. These sessions have been led by the international Messy Church team, with participants joining from across the United States.

It has been a exciting to learn together, share ideas, and begin dreaming about how Messy Church might take shape right here in Indian Land.

For those new to Messy Church, it is a creative, hands-on once-a-month expression of church designed to engage all ages together. It is guided by five core values: Christ-centered, hospitality, creativity, celebration, and all-age. Each Messy Church gathering is also shaped by four key elements: welcome, activities, celebration, and a shared meal. Together, these create a warm and engaging environment where faith is shared in fun, interactive, and meaningful ways.

This fall, Pleasant Hill will be forming a larger “dream team” to prepare for the launch of Messy Church in January.

We are excited about this next step and believe it will open new doors for connection, creativity, and discipleship for people of all ages. Stay tuned for more details and ways you can get involved in this adventure!
